I have been homeschooling and teaching homeschooled children for over 25 years. During that time I earned my M.Ed, with Washington State Teacher and Administrator Certifications. I have been a registered counselor since 1994.
I have special interests in helping with documentation and evaluation of natural, active learning experiences (unschooling), and with life's difficulties and transitions. I've lived on very little for very long ;-) and my focus is on the quality of life in the home and for the child, not how much you spend. Most people can homeschool for very little money. Prepackaged curricula are rather expensive tools in that educational toolbox, which normally sit waiting to be needed, as do most tools.
I can also help you with research on the internet; with individual counseling in tough, confidential situations which you'd rather not post to e-lists; or helping you listen to -- and build confidence in -- your own instincts and inspirations about your child or family's style, talents and needs.
